New Forest Mencap has been providing support and services for people with learning disabilities since the 1960’s. New Forest Gateway Club and the Saturday Clubs were formed in the late 1980’s with Brockenhurst Gateway Club being started some 25 years ago.

During lockdown we went entirely online but supported people to keep fit, keep in contact, learn new skills (dancing, singing, crafting, signing and how to keep healthy). As we are now able to meet up again, we have started to deliver some new services, starting with Digital Drop Ins where people with learning disabilities can be supported to get the most from digital technology.

We will still be using the Nedderman Centre to deliver activities and meetings and it can be hired by the public for parties, meetings, etc. Contact the Office Manager on 01425 621893 or [email protected]
