Chair pauline.pegram@newforestmencap.org

Hi, I'm a retired adult education teacher specialising in basic English and learning disabilities with not so much time on my hands.

After moving from the Midlands, I joined New Forest Mencap as a volunteer in 2018 with the intention of volunteering in the Tuesday evening Gateway club but was sidelined into running basic English and maths sessions up until covid lockdown.

I now chair the New Milton Gateway club, attending on Tuesdays and Saturdays as a volunteer alongside being a trustee.

The work at New Forest Mencap is sometimes challenging but always rewarding - we are here for the lovely people and their families/carers we support in both social and personal development activities.
